Slank kini adalah salah satu grup musik papan atas, yang bermula dari Cikini Stones Complex (CSC) pada 26 Desember 1983, yaitu grup musik yang terdiri dari anak-anak SMA Perguruan Cikini, Jakarta. CSC terdiri dari Bimo Setiawan (drum), Boy (gitar), Kiki (gitar), Abi (bass), Uti (vokal), dan Well Welly (vokal), yang banyak mengekspresikan kecintaan pada lagu-lagu Rolling Stones. Sayang, grup ini tidak bertahan dan membubarkan diri. Slank mengalami perubahan personel sampai 14 kali pada 1996 yang bertahan hingga sekarang. Formasi terakhir yang dimulai dari album ke-7 Slank, terdiri dari Bimbim (drum), Kaka (vokal), Ivanka (bass), Ridho (gitar), dan Abdee (gitar)
