Kalki's Solamalai Ilavarasi - In Tamil description

Kumaralingam, a freedom fighter, is wanted by the British government. Afraid of them he stays in a dilapidated palace in the desert. While there, he realizes in his dream that he is the transcendental prince of 300 years ago. And there the story travels back more than 300 years. In his birth, he lost the war to his kingdom and the whites and hid in the palace of their enemy country, the Chola Mountains. Sholaimalai Princess Manikkavalli gives him refuge without anyone knowing. She also falls in love with him. However, he is arrested and killed by the British. At the same time, the princess commits suicide.

After he remembers, he meets a girl named Ponnammal who looks like the same princess he dreamed of. He shares with her the dreams he had with her. She also feeds him and helps him disappear. However, he is arrested by the British. After 8 months in jail, he escapes from there and comes to meet Ponnammala. After splitting from Kumaralingam, she became mentally ill and thought of herself as the Sholaimalai princess. Thus the heartbroken Kumaralingam becomes a preacher. And so the story ends.
