About this product

Classic solitaire card game where you can test your skill against other players.

Yet Another Solitaire Game description

Yet Another Solitaire Game (YASG) is designed for fans of the classic solitaire card game who want to test their skills against other players.
But how is this possible, since solitaire is mostly an individual game? YASG launches online tournaments every 4, 5 and 10 minutes with the same settings, which any user can join.
During the competition, the program monitors many factors and scores the players based on this. At the end of the tournament, players can compare their results.
In addition to online races, it is also possible to play and practice without an internet connection.

Game Modes

In addition to the classic solitaire game mode, several others are available:
  • Online competitions and offline practice
  • One, two or three draw card version
  • Time limit setting (online competitions start every 4, 5 and 10 minutes)
  • Possibility to turn on optional heaps
  • Limiting the number of cycles
  • Open game modes (displaying information about the face-down cards of the tableau)

Heaps

The heap piles help to solve the hand in such a way that a card can be placed on a heap from any place, and then it can be moved to a suitable place later. The use of heaps is optional, as there are none in classic solitaire. It results in different playing styles if we can work with one, two or three heaps during the game.
When calculating points, the use of heap piles results in penalty points, so in competitive conditions it is worth using only if you get stuck in the hand.

Open version

Open Solitaire can be a great option for beginners. The rank and/or suit of the face-down cards on the tableau also becomes visible, so we can move on based on this additional information in a decision-making situation. There is also a special open game mode, during which the game always shows the location of the next card that can be placed on the foundations (initially these are the four Ace cards).

Score calculation

The game collects various metrics in order to be able to compare the submitted results of the players as best as possible. In addition to obvious factors such as solving time and number of flips/moves, YASG monitors the player's clicks and whether the automatic card moves are used consciously or tentatively.
Based on the collected data, it calculates rewarding and penalizing points in a non-linear scoring system, which enables the comparison of the players' performance.

Lifelike behavior

It can be set as an optional element so that we can play the hand in the same way as we would do it with a real deck of cards. On the tabletop, the cards will appear in irregular columns, and even the automatic card transfers offered by the game can be turned off.
