Integration with IFTTT can be done by sending out a notification to your phone whenever an "IF" happens. This allows you to turn on (or off or flash) your lights
🔔 when the International Space Station passes over your home
🔔 at sunrise/sunset
🔔 when there is a high pollen count
🔔 when you come home
🔔 when you hit your daily goal on FitBit
🔔 every hour to remind you to drink a glass of water
🔔 when it starts raining
🔔 when Uber driver arrives
🔔 when the IP Camera in the childrens bedroom detects audio
🔔 when a meeting starts
🔔 and many more

Integration with IFTTT-button widget now also allows you to remote control your lights: put an old phone at home (no SIM-card needed!) and control your lights by sending IFTTT notifications to it.
It's easy to create a button to switch off all your lights
