Das Wort “Smoje” ist eine Kombination der Worte “smart” und “Boje” - das Wort “Smoje” soll also der Begriff für eine intelligente / smarte Boje sein.Doch was steht wirklich hinter diesem Begriff beziehungsweise hinter der URL www.smoje.ch?
Smoje ist ein Studentenprojekt der Berner Fachhochschule (BFH), Departement Technik und Informatik. Im 3. Studienjahr wird das Fach “Mobile Computing” angeboten, welches sich diesmal mit der Thematik des sog. Internet of Things (IoT) beschäftigt.
Im Rahmen dieses Kurses konzipieren und entwickeln wir intelligente Bojen, welche eine Vielzahl von Parametern messen können (z.B. Position, Temperatur von Wasser und Luft, Windgeschwindigkeit und Windrichtung, Wellengang, Drift uvm). Ebenso können die smoje untereinander wie auch mit uns über’s Internet Verbindung aufnehmen. Sie sind eben die intelligenten, schwimmenden Stationen, welche uns Menschen eine Vielzahl von Diensten und Vorteilen anbieten.

Smoje is a student project of the Berner Fachhochschule (BFH), the department of engineering and computer science. In 3rd year the subject "Mobile Computing" is offered, which this time deals with the subject of so-called. Internet of Things (IoT).
During this course we design and develop intelligent buoys, which can measure a variety of parameters (eg position, temperature of water and air, wind speed and wind direction, swell, drift, etc.). Likewise, the Smoje among themselves and with us get in touch over the Internet. They are just smart, floating stations, which offer us humans a variety of services and benefits.
