Russian Verb Blitz description

Brush up on your Russian verbs with this interactive verb reference. With over a hundred commonly used verbs presented in both imperfective and perfective aspects, in their conjugated form and with their past tense forms too, Russian Verb Blitz is a clear and effective way to learn, refresh and revise your Russian grammar skills.

As well as a verb reference, there are four intensive verb drill activities to quiz yourself on your declension skills:

- Infinitive quiz: do you know the meaning of the each verb?
- Translation quiz: can you select the correct translation for a given sentence from a particular verb?
- Snap quiz: can you spot when the Russian and English sentences match? Try to get ten in a row!
- Gapfill: can you spell out the missing word in the conjugated sentence?

In each game, you can choose to play with just your ticked verbs, or, for an extra challenge, the whole bank of verbs.

What's more, the app keeps track of the verbs you find easiest and hardest in the games, and you can check your progress at any point in the performance section.

BEGINNERS' BONUS: if you're only just beginning in Russian, and are still getting to grips with the alphabet, then use our handy transliteration button to view the whole verb table in Latin characters! Not knowing the Cyrillic alphabet shouldn't put you off starting out with grammar.

Happy Russian learning!
