Dr. Ronaldo Onishi nasceu na cidade de Juquitiba. Veio morar com os pais em Taboão da Serra quando ainda era pequeno. Sua origem simples e a vida como filho de feirantes foram a base para a construção do seu caráter humano e solidário. Durante a maior parte da infância e juventude trabalhou na feira livre ao lado dos pais e dos irmãos. ​
Dos quatro filhos do “Seu Takashi e Dona Cida”, como eram conhecidos, foi o único a fazer uma faculdade e se formar. Ainda trabalhando na feira, cursou a faculdade de Direito, e logo foi aprovado no exame da OAB. A formação em Direito consolidou sua prática de zelar pelo cumprimento das leis. ​
