NI2CE Messenger description

NATO Interoperable Instant Communication Environment (NI2CE) is a secure messenger app that uses real end-to-end encryption to provide powerful video conferencing, file sharing and voice calls. While currently being tested by NCIA and ACT, this proof of concept product has fully developed features, such as:
Secure: Real end-to-end encryption (only those in the conversation can decrypt messages) for desktop, tablet and mobile
Based on the Matrix messaging protocol
Fully encrypted messages that allow safer communication
Flexible: No limit on the number of sessions: multi-device capabilities
Private: no need for phone numbers, more anonymity compared to other apps
Full featured instant communication capabilities
Easy: No installation required on PC
NI2CE operates on Matrix, an open network for secure and decentralized communication. It allows self-hosting to give users maximum ownership and control of their data and messages. Users choose where the data is hosted.
The app offers complete communication and integration:
Messaging, voice and one to one video calls, file sharing and an array of integrations, bots and widgets.
The app aims to demonstrate the usability of the Matrix protocol and the compatible end-user applications for the NATO Enterprise and NATO missions and capture additional user requirements, while we analyze and certify the use of bridges to connect Matrix to the NS environment and JChat.
