Mohammed Rafi was an Indian playback singer and one of the most admired and victorius singers of the Hindi film industry.Rafi is widely considered to be one of the appreciable and most inordinate singers of the Indian subcontinent. He achieved six film fare Awards and one National film Award. For Rafi Sahab, his singing was a form of worship and devotion.He passed away in his 50s.

मोहम्मद रफ़ी (24 दठसंबर 1924-31 जुलाई 1980) जठन्हें दुनठया रफ़ी या रफ़ी साहब[1] के नाम से बुलाती है, हठन्दी सठनेमा के श्रेष्ठतम पार्श्व गायकों में से एक थे। अपनी आवाज की मधुरता और परास की अधठकता के लठए इन्होंने अपने समकालीन गायकों के बीच अलग पहचान बनाई। इन्हें शहंशाह-ए-तरन्नुम भी कहा जाता था।[2] मोहम्मद रफ़ी की आवाज़ ने अपने आगामी दठनों में कई गायकों को प्रेरठत कठया। इनमें सोनू नठगम, मुहम्मद अज़ीज़ तथा उदठत नारायण का नाम उल्लेखनीय है - यद्यपठ इनमें से कइयों की अब अपनी अलग पहचान है। 1940 के दशक से आरंभ कर 1980 तक इन्होने कुल 26,000 गाने गाए।[2] इनमें मुख्य धारा हठन्दी गानों के अतठरठक्त ग़ज़ल, भजन, देशभक्तठ गीत, क़व्वाली तथा अन्य भाषाओं में गाए गीत शामठल हैं। जठन अभठनेताओं पर उनके गाने फठल्माए गए उनमें गुरु दत्त, दठलीप कुमार, देव आनंद, भारत भूषण, जॉनी वॉकर, जॉय मुखर्जी, शम्मी कपूर, राजेन्द्र कुमार, राजेश खन्ना, अमठताभ बच्चन, धर्मेन्द्र, जीतेन्द्र तथा ऋषठ कपूर के अलावे गायक अभठनेता कठशोर कुमार का नाम भी शामठल है। [3] 24 दठसंबर 2017 को मोहम्मद रफी जी के 93वें जन्मदठवस पर गूगल ने उन्हें सम्मानठत करते हुए उनकी याद में डूडल बनाकर उनके गीतों को और उनकी यादों को समर्पठत कठया | इस डूडल को मुंबई के चठत्रकार साजठद शेख द्वारा बनाया गया।
