Mississippi Stud - Simple Poker Style Card Game description

Mississippi Stud is an easy to learn and fun to play poker style card game. Like many other poker style table games, Mississippi Stud is a house banked game. This means the player is only playing against the house, not against other players. Unlike other similar games, the player's hand is not compared against the dealer's. The player receives a payout based only on the cards in hand, similar to video poker. The skill is knowing when to raise, by how much, and when to fold.

Gameplay

The game bank amount starts at 1000, but can be set to any amount. When the bank goes to 0, it automatically resets back to the full amount. There is no cool-down period, so the game never ends.

The bet amount is adjustable, then the game starts by pressing the deal button. The player places a single bet, and receives two cards. Three cards are placed face down and will be use to create the five-card hand.

Once the cards are dealt, the player may raise or fold. The raise can be 1, 2, or 3 times the original bet. The raise amount is added to the purse with the original bet and other raises. While playing a hand, the bank is allowed to go below zero. After each raise, one of the face down cards is revealed. Then there is another option to raise or fold. This repeats until all the cards are revealed. The player then receives a payout based on the pay table.

The player can fold at any time, but loses the bet and all raises. The hand is over after a fold.
