HexZombie Hex Calculator description

HexZombie is a synchronized dual number base calculator with separate windows and keypads for hex and decimal.

Years ago Texas Instruments built the PROGRAMMER calculator that switched between hex and decimal with a single keystroke. Virtually every hex calculator since then has required multiple keystrokes to change bases. Even most calculator apps show only one number base at a time.

HexZombie changes all that. Both operands and the result are simultaneously displayed in both hex and decimal. The operator key is highlighted in green. It's always ready to instantly assist you during design, coding and debugging.

Separate keypad for hex and decimal entry make base switching a simple matter of moving your hand from one side to the other on a tablet. On a phone, a portrait orientation is most ergonomic and you change from the hex to the decimal keypad by tapping a tab. Seven native integer data types (64 bit is signed only) let you analyze expressions with or without integer promotion.

HexZombie is also available as a stand alone desktop device. It adds features not found in the app such as floating point operations to 14 significant digits and IP subnet math in decimal dot format. Check it out at www.hexzombie.com
