Fortepan description

Fortepan is a curated on-line photo archive of the 20th century. The photos can be freely used for any purpose by crediting the source. The collection is made up of the legacy of several hundreds of professional and amateur photographers and keeps growing by about one thousand pictures a month. The albums, paper blow-ups and negatives are processed by volunteers, the photos are described via the Fortepan Forum open for all to participate, comment and share information.
