The alphabet is the primary level child education book. It is the first of the scientifically designed texts to teach children the Bangla language. In 4, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar wrote it. Since then it has been used with equal importance in both Bengal as a children's text book.

The first part of the book contains twenty-one texts composed of vowels and consonants, different words and sentences and paragraphs. The second part contains a total of ten lessons in conjunction with the use of conjugated letters, words and sentences, numbered words in numbers, numbers and words, and small pieces of advice.
