Ap Biology - Advanced Placement Biology (commonly abbreviated to AP Biology or AP Bio), is a course and examination offered by the College Board to high school students.

The AP Biology course is designed to enable you to develop advanced inquiry and reasoning skills, such as designing a plan for collecting data, analyzing data, applying mathematical routines, and connecting concepts in and across domains.

The AP Biology exam is based on topics and knowledge and skills given in AP Biology course books.

The exam is divided into two main sections.

section 1
It consists of the 69 multiple choice questions and 6 grid-in discrete questions. Candidates have 90 minutes to attempt all these questions. The section 1 have 50 % weightage in total score of exam.

section 2
It contains 8 free response questions and 50 % weightage in total exam scores. 90 minutes are given for the section 2 of the exam.
