Akaid description
Akaid, akd kökünden türetilmiş olan akide kelimesinin çoğuludur. Akîde, sözlükte "gönülden bağlanılan, düğüm atmışçasına sağlam inanılan şey" demektir. Dinî literatürde akîde, "inanılması zorunlu olan ilke" (iman esası, mü'menün bih), çoğulu olan akaid kelimesi ise "İslam dininde inanılması farz olan hususlar, iman esasları, dinin temel kural ve hükümleri" anlamına gelmektedir. Buna göre, dinin temel kural ve hükümlerini oluşturan iman esaslarından bahseden ilme de akaid ilmi denir.İslam akaidinin ilk ve en önemli kaynağı Kur'an-ı Kerîm, daha sonra da sahih hadislerdir. İslam akaidini oluşturan esaslar, Kur'an-ı Kerîm'de ve hadislerde hiçbir yoruma mahal bırakmayacak şekilde açık, yalın ve sade olarak yer almıştır. Kur'an'da Allah'a, peygamberlerine, kitaplara, meleklere, ahirete, kaza ve kadere iman konusuna temas eden ve yer yer ayrıntılı bilgiler veren birçok ayet vardır. Hadis kitaplarının "iman, enbiya, tevhid, cennet, cehennem, kader, kıyamet" gibi bölümlerinde, iman esaslarıyla ilgili çeşitli açıklamalar yer almaktadır. Bu sebeple de Kur'an ayetleri ile başta mütevatir hadisler olmak üzere sahih hadisler akaidin temel kaynaklarını teşkil eder. Duyu organlarının verileri ve akıl her ne kadar akaid ilminin kaynakları arasında ise de, bu ikisi doğrudan doğruya dinî prensiplerin ve iman esaslarının belirlenmesinde kaynak sayılmazlar. Akıl ve duyu organlarının verileri, daha çok ayet ve hadislerin belirlediği esasların açıklanması, yorumu ve ispatlanması konusunda malzeme oluştururlar, nakli desteklerler. Bu sebeple iman esaslarının belirlenmesinde tek kaynak vahiydir.
İslam akaidini oluşturan esaslar, hem kesin delile dayanmaktadır hem de apaçıktır. Zamana, mekana, fert ve toplumlara göre değişiklik göstermez. Bu hükümler bir bütün teşkil edip, bölünme kabul etmezler. Yani bir kısmına inanıp bir kısmına inanmamak söz konusu olamaz.
