This app connects rural farmers with buyers involving Livestock Service Providers (LSPs) within the locality to make cattle trading transparent, simple, easy and beneficial for both farmers and buyers. On the other end buyers will use an e-commerce site connected to this app for purchasing.
Cattle trading is one of the key components of supply chain activity in livestock in Bangladesh. Number of actors are directly involved in cattle trading mainly includes Cattle traders, Dalals (brokers), Forias, Farmers, Cattle haat owners, institutes purchase live cattle, Butchers, event based buyers (general Muslim population during Kurbani)
This mobile app will be used by the LPSs to create a cattle profile of his/her farmer who intends to sell that. The profile will contain particular farmers information like name address as well as cattle’s information like age, weight, feeding, health & medication history, image & videos, asking price etc. Once the cattle profile is published by the LSPs it will be posted for sale in the web platform. This web platform will be used by buyers who are interested to buy targeted cattle. Once the buyer gets interested to buy a particular cattle he/she will be able to communicate with that LSP (who posted the cattle) online using the platform also will be able to post comments.
Then buyer will be able make direct phone calls to the LSP and decide for purchase, payment and transport. Once the cattle is sold LSP will change the status of the cattle as SOLD.
Once the cattle is sold LSP will receive service charge from farmer. Buyers will rate the service quality of the LSPs after purchase
