"تلاوة سودانية خالصة، تتجلى روعتها عند سماعك لها، صوت يضخ المعاني في شرايين القلب فترتوي النفس خشوعا، إحساس ينساب مع الكلمات فيصل لك بالمعنى قبل التفكير فيه" هكذا وُصف الشيخ محمد أحمد الزين، أحد رموز تلاوة القرآن بالسودان الذين قدموا للمكتبة القرآنية عدة تسجيلات إذاعية وتلفزية.

ولد الشيخ الزين محمد أحمد الزين في شهر يوليوز 1982 بقرية البنية بمحلية أمروابة، من ولاية شمال كردفان السودانية، علاقته مع القرآن بدأت في سن مبكرة، إذ أنه التحق بخلوة الشيخ الدرديري بمنطقة خرسي والتي تبعد 12 كيلومترا عـن محلية ام روابة، بعد أربع سنوات فقط من دراسته بالمدرسة الابتدائية، أي في سن العاشرة من عمره، كما حصل على إجازة من شيخ قراء الأزهر الشريف في سبتمبر 2009.

يعتبر الشيخ محمد أحمد الزين بمثابة امتداد للعديد من الأصوات السودانية التي تزينت بالقرآن الكريم كالشيخ عوض عمر، الشيخ صديق أحمد حمدون، والشيخ عبد اللطيف العوض رحمهم الله، كما استطاع أن يجمع حوله آلاف المحبين من الشيوخ والشباب بفضل صوته الشجي والخاشع.

تم اعتماد تلاوة الشيخ الزين لبثها عبر إذاعة القرآن الكريم بالسودان، كما عين كإمام لمسجد سيدة سنهوري بالعاصمة السودانية الخرطوم، ليكون محمد أحمد الزين نموذجا للشباب المسلم المعاصر "المجتهد في حياته ودينه".
