Parking Relief description

Parking Relief was designed to solve the age old problem of “Can I Park here?” and “Is this a spot?” in New York City. Due to confusion that is had when looking at the NYC Department of Transportation’s parking signs on many streets, especially in Manhattan, many people are left scratching their head about whether where they finally found a spot is actually legal. That confusion is multiplied when you factor in what kind of vehicle they have, such as a passenger car, taxi or truck.

Parking Relief takes the guessing game out of this with the simple click of a button that gives you peace of mind from wondering whether or not you will get a ticket when you come back since the data we use comes DIRECTLY from the Department of Transportation. Results will tell you whether it's paid parking, or parking until what time is allowed, (normally because of alternate side parking.) The app also tells you if its alternate side parking that day or if it's suspended. On the app it also displays lines against the street edges where one would normally park to classify whether you can park there, can’t park there or if you can park if you pay a meter with green, red and blue lines. And for those moments when you’re wondering what a street sign mean, there’s an a glossary with a breakdown of what you’re looking and what it means for you and your vehicle.
