The prevalence of the heart attack, which was 2% in 1960, has increased to 8-10% in 2014. Unfortunately heart attack and other related heart aliments steadily increasing among the poor people. 70% of patients who come to Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology are below poverty line.

To fill this gap and to make sure every citizen gets equal healthcare and heart care protection all funds raised through the run is contributed to Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology to treat Health Aliments of the needy.
