Twitch! 2048 for old androids description

NOTE: This is the legacy version of 2048 Number game (for older android phones without "Google PLAY Services").
For newer phones (SDK 9+) please try, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=angel.twitch.numberGame.

"Twitch! 2048 Number Game" is a game to add two same numbers to create a new number.
The goal is to simply add enough numbers to reach 2048.

This game uses the game mechanics from "http://gabrielecirulli.github.io/2048/".

Press"<" or ">" to move the numbers to the left and to the right respectively, and same numbers are added if they are "side by side" from each other.
Press "^" or "v" to move the numbers up and down respectively, and same numbers are added if they are "up and down" from each other.
(swiping on the screen in the direction of interest works too).
After every move, a new number is generated randomly on an unoccupied cell.

The game ends when you combine enough numbers to reach 2048 (you win!) or when all the cells on the board is filled and there are no more possible moves to make (game over).
The goal is simple, the mechanics is simple, but it is still a challenge to win the game.
Each play through takes 2 -30 minutes.

[GAME BOARD & CONTROLS]
The game board is a 4x4 grid cell. A new game starts with two of the cells populated.
There are four movement buttons ("<", "^","v" and ">") to control the movement of the numbers.
There is one restart button to restart the game (only shown when the game ends).
touch or "swipe" listener (swiping on the screen works the same way as pressing the movement buttons)
To exit the game, simply press the "back" button on the android.
[GAME PIECE]
A number (usually "1") appears randomly on the board after every move.
"4" and "8" may occur occasionally (10% and 1% of the time respectively).
Combining two "2" results in a "4"
Combining two "4" results in a "8"
Combining two "8" results in a "16"
Combining two "16" results in a "32"
Combining two "32" results in a "64"
Combining two "64" result sin a "128"
Combining two "128" results in a "256"
Combining two "256" results in a "512"
Combining two "512" results in a "1024"
Combining two "1024" results in a "2048" (win)

[GAME STRATEGY]
The following are some strategies that may make the game slightly easier to reach a higher number
- Keep the larger numbers clumped together.
- Keep the larger numbers to the sides if possible.
- Don't let the smaller numbers get trapped in the corner.

[BACKGROUND BEHIND THE NAME AND THE GAME]
The "Twitch!" name refers to the inadvertent twitching of the eyelid when things don't go our way ... (The squirrel from Ice Age does that every time it loses its nuts/acorn)
This game is a casual time-filler if you ever need to pass time. While waiting for your friends (twitch!); or maybe you just missed your bus (twitch!). It's a non-frustrating (looking at you Flappy bird!!) little game to while away the minutes and let time catch up with you again.
The end result is this therapeutic little game where you simply move and combine some numbers to win the game.
