Sensor Alert System description

This app has been developed to partner with the Sensor Alert System that is installed in vehicles. It is has been designed to alert vehicle owners of children or pets left in a vehicle. This app will only work if it is paired through Bluetooth with the Sensor Alert System. It has been developed as part of Senior Design project that was an idea of Ryan Gowin. His idea came about in the summer of 2014. He began assembling a team for his senior design project to make the idea a reality. This app was a late idea and was not a part of the original design but has proven to be an awesome addition. This is the last step of a multi-layered system that includes a motion sensor, mass sensor, and temperature sensor. All sensor interact with each other via a PIC32 micro-controller. The system detects if there is a child or a pet in a hot vehicle and starts the vehicle, sounds the horn and turns on the air conditioning. It will also work for cold weather as well. The app receives real time temperature updates to the phone and will alert the parent that there is a child or pet in the vehicle.
