SAHARA For Life Trust description

“SAHARA for Life Trust” is a tax exempted charitable organization Registration No. (DDSW, WD&DM-LD (REGD) /98-1135 of 1998) enjoying consultative status with United Nations (U.N) (under the charter of DESA) as well as certified by Pakistan Center for Philanthropy (PCP) and accredited by charity commissions of U.K Charity no 1088219 , USA Fed ID 331011467 as well as in Canada. SFLT envisions to reach the unreached and serve the underserved through projects in health, education and social sectors in remote areas of Pakistan along with attending to any national or international catastrophes like war, earthquake & flood worldwide.

SAHARA for Life Trust as a National level organization working in all the provinces of the country and its first project is Sughra Shafi Medical Complex, a 600 bedded certified General teaching Hospital. SSMC is providing state of art healthcare facilities to more than 4.5 million population of catchment area.

Moreover, SSMC is an affiliated hospital of SAHARA Medical College and also accredited by PMDC, University of Health Sciences Punjab (UHS) and Ministry of Health (MoH). All medical and surgical services including emergencies are offered 24/7, free of cost or in subsidized charges to poor & marginalized people of Narowal and so far more than 3.0 million patients have been treated.

SLT has more than 731 permanent employees in different program & projects and has well established different departments i.e. marketing, Internal Audit, Monitoring & Evaluation, Finance, Admin/HR, Material Management Department (MMD), MIS (Managing Information System) and Marketing at Head Office. Senior Management established Youth Parliament of Pakistan which has more than 173,000 trained volunteers from all over the country. The founder and chairman of the Trust Mr. Abrar Ul Haq (S.E, T.I) is a symbol of human service, internationally known social worker, a music ICON and OIC’s Humanitarian Ambassador.
