About this product

App for engineers, professionals and students dedicated to geotechnical design.

RCM GeoConstants description

Is an application for engineers, professionals and students dedicated to geotechnical design.
It has a solid database of thousands of values drawn from an extensive bibliographic reference, including geotechnical books, research projects, and laboratory tests of soil mechanics.
These values are approximations that help the geotechnical engineer to carry out his design when he does not have the exact value of a variable involved in the calculation process, so it may have a certain value of such variable, based on laboratory results, supported by references, a bibliographies of prestigious authors in the world of geotechnics. These values are stored in a consistent database, incorporated in the memory of the application and available without an internet connection.

The mechanism for obtaining the desired value is that the calculator only requires some basic information related to the soil under study. For example, it is sufficient to indicate the type of soil, whether it is gravel, sand, clay or silt, indicate whether it is a dense or loose soil, if it is well graded, or not, to have an approximated values of: Cohesion, Modulus of deformation, unit weight, internal friction angle, Poisson modulus, among others.
The results are thrown into three unit systems, Imperial System, International System and Metric System, whose definition of any of these three (depends on the user\'s preference), must be made before starting a query for any constant.
