Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the greatest American leaders and Civil Rights activists. His nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs helped shape our present world and society. Pastor MLK Jr. was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for combating racial inequality.
