MailGatePrint - Email-based Print Server description

MailGatePrint is Android-based print server, easy to setup and operate. It’s based on email communication rather than cloud service. With Android device and a printer you can start providing print services to anyone - your friends, family, colleagues, customers and clients, no matter where they are. All they need to do is to send an email with attachments to be printed.

This can be your print shop business, if you like. Think of it as Uber for Printing. Offer printing service where you live and work. Make money with our solution.

To start with, connect your Android device - tablet, phone, etc. - to a printer via WiFi, Bluetooth or USB. The driver will be automatically downloaded and installed. We support printers from most major manufacturers including HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, etc. We also support a large number of specialty and label printers.

Then, you configure email address to be your printing gateway. We recommend to have a dedicated email address, such as GMail, not used for any other purpose. This is where users will send emails with attachments for printing. We support most major file formats including PDF, Microsoft Office documents (DOC/X, XLS/X, PPT/X), graphic files (PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIF) and many others.

Once a print job is received from unknown address, it requires your approval. MailGatePrint maintains white and black lists. Sender’s address can be automatically added to the white list upon approval, or to the black list upon rejection.

You can interact with MailGatePrint on the device, or via email in case the device does not have screen and keyboard, or is not easily accessible. You can even use Raspberry Pi or other similar IoT device running Android Things. Every time your action is required, you’ll receive an email to respond to.

MailGatePrint is free to try but if you want to use it, you’ll need monthly subscription to Premium version. Free version allows limited numbers of incoming print jobs per day. Premium version does not have any limitations.
