ISS Portal description

The Institute for Science and Spirituality (ISS), Delhi is an outreach and scientific study wing of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Delhi which is a pristine endeavour dedicated to enabling a serious contemplation and thoughtful brainstorming from scientists and spiritualists alike. ISS is working with the main objective of rekindling interest in spirituality within the scientific community whereby the latter evolves a spiritual, anti- material perspective; while at the same time helping spirituality develop a scientific and dogma free outlook. ISS aspires to facilitate transcending invisible barriers on both sides such that all parties can jointly reach higher levels of consciousness and realisation.

The Institute is working with the following specific objectives:
1. To promote dialogue for synthesis of science and spirituality among scientists, scholars and theologians.
2. To attempt to fundamentally understand & propagate the message through explorations of scientific and Vedic theories that life comes from life.
3. To present the consciousness-based paradigm for the critical attention of serious scholars and thinkers.
4. To attempt to create awareness among scientific community for the need of evolving a higher paradigm which is inclusive of liberal and broader perspective and other authorised methods of knowledge as mentioned in the Vedic tradition.
5. To attempt to resolve the ongoing conflict between scientific materialism and spiritual rationalism.

ISS Portal is an attempt to connect all like minded people in their everyday life. It features multimedia gallery, thought provoking articles from practitioners of cutting edge science and traditional spirituality, quotes from ancient world traditions, complete event registration facility for ISS, submission of papers and posters etc.
