The staircase is a path that has steps (traps) that connect one floor with the floor above and has a function as a way to rise and fall between the level floors.

The ladder can be passive or actively moving by using a mechanical system. This type of mechanical ladder is also known as escalator and is commonly used in public buildings in order to speed up the vertical transport flow between floors of buildings.

The ladder can be made from several materials. The use of this material can be structurally and non-structurally grouped.

The use of structural materials generally includes wood, steel, and concrete.

While the use of non-structural stair materials may include glass, rubber (as an anti-slip coating on stamped or handrail) or plastic (on special designs).
