About this product

An exercise app for your eyes

Eycercise Yoga routine for the eyes description

Strengthen your eye muscles and relax your strained eyes with Eycercise.

Between our mobiles, computers and TVs, many of us spend hours upon hours every day staring at screens. Think of the eyes like any muscle - you have six muscles that move each eye, and one muscle that focuses it. When you stare at a fix spot on the screen for a protracted period of time, it causes your eye to fatigue.

The Eycercise app exercises your eye muscles by forcing you to consciously move your eyes while chasing after a moving target.

Eye movement exercises before bed can also help you sleep better. Rotational eye movements is effective in shutting off or calming the brain’s stress response by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. This is the part of the nervous system that, when stimulated, slows heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and slows breathing.

Try using Eycercise right before going to bed, if you have trouble entering sleep.

To use Eycercise:
- Find a comfortable position either on a chair or on the floor.
- Place your nose on the button in the middle of the screen.
- Follow the dot with your eyes, while keeping your nose on the button.

You can edit the exercise sequence in the SETTINGS panel:
- Add new routines,
- Rearrange routines,
- change duration and repeat cycles

Remember to set the brightness of the screen to a comfortable level depending on the ambient brightness (dim the screen if you are in a dark room).

Besides the eye movement exercises, you should more importantly take periodic break away all screens every 20 minutes, for 20 seconds, and look at something that is at least 20 feet (6 meters) away.

Other ways to relieve eye fatigue include:
- blinking for a minute
- head rotation while staring ahead
- massaging your temples with your fingers
