Christian rock is a type of rock music that is performed by bands and individuals who create songs that focus on Christian faith and related matters. A majority of bands that play at media outlets, music labels, as well as festivals.

The Crusaders’ album, “Make a Joyful Noise with Drums and Guitars” (released in November 1966), was deemed as one of the first Christian rock album releases or first Christian rock record of all time. Mind Garage’s 1967 “Electric Liturgy” album have been recorded in RCA’s studio “Nashville Sound.” On 1969, the grandfather of Christian rock music, Larry Norman, released “Upon His Rock” which was believed to be first “Jesus rock album” released commercially. Randy Stonehill released his first album which Larry Norman produced in 1971, “Born Twice”.
