Immaginamo the following scenario: We are flying at 32,000 feet of altitude (FL320), we are at 134 nm (nautical miles) from the airport of destination and we will have to hook the ILS at 3000 Ft

We know then: elevation, distance from the airport and the intercept of the ILS but we do not know what will be the best time to begin the descent, that is, how far we have to start our descent.
