عندما كانت في الثّالثة من عمرها فقط، غنّت ماريا قحطان من اليمن للمرّة الأولى في منزلها، فاكتشف أهلها أنّها تملك صوتًا جميلاً.

ومنذ ذلك اليوم، راحت شقيقتها سارة بشكلٍ خاص تشجّعها على تطوير موهبتها تلك، فلم تتوقّف عن الغناء.
